Customise Title Tag

    Hello,

I’ve tried to customise the title tag with %title% %sep% A SPECIFIC SUBCATEGORY (TAXONOMY) %sep% %org_name%, so that it looks like
Zero Track | Light System | Atrium – Independent Lighting Specialist
    but I’ve got two questions:

    1) is it possible to add a post type category where a specific subcategory has been ticked? (eg in Product Categories > Light System)?
    2) I’ve tried to replace %sitename% with %org_name% (which I’ve modified in the Local SEO tab), but I still see the site name. Is there anything else that I should consider?

    Thank you for you advice

    J.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    1. You can use the %category% variable to show the subcategory of the post. Please also make sure to choose the subcategory as the Primary term.
    Primary term

    2. Since you have already set the Organization name in Local SEO, could you please also check if the Local SEO and Knowledge Graph module is enabled in Rank Math > Dashboard
    Local SEO

If so, the preview might be different in the settings. Please check the published post’s source code if the Organization name is already added. You can also use this tool to check.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hi,

Thank you for your quick reply.

    1) I’ve tried categories but I can’t make it work.
To let you understand better, please see the image at the link http://atrium-ltd-uk.stackstaging.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/categories.jpg
You see that I’ve got several categories on the right, but I’d like to use the first one, ‘Product Categories’ so that the checked box appears on the title tag.
I thought to find the answer on one of those values highlighted in red at the bottom, but they don’t work either.

    2) Local SEO is active but the org_name still doesn’t appear. I’ve manually added the shortened name of the company in Titles & Meat > Posts.

I wait for you kind reply,
    Thank you

    Hello,

Thank you for that additional information, and sorry for the delay.

    1. To get WooCommerce product categories, please use the %customterm(product_cat)% variable then check the actual page’s source code if they are already included in the meta title and description. Here’s a screencast for your reference:

    2. The preview might be different in Titles & Meta > Posts. Could you please check the published post’s source code if the Organization name is already added? You can also use this tool to check.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance.
