Hello, I’ve searched through your old support articles, but I think your code has changed.

I have a custom taxonomy with a dynamic image field for each entry on that taxonomy, and I need that image to be shown when someone shares that custom taxonomy.

Just like when you share a category you get it’s featured image shown on social shares, I need the same functionality for my custom taxonomy.

However, when I go to Rank math > Titles & Meta > My custom Taxonomy I do not see an Add SEO Metabox option.

    Here’s how it looks: null

    Could you kindly help?

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Some features are only available in the Advanced Mode of Rank Math. Can you please make sure that you have enabled the Advanced Mode from WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard

Check again after enabling the Advanced Mode and you should be able to see the Add SEO Meta Box option.

Hope this helps. Let us know if the issue persists. We are here to assist.

Works! Thank you, I did not know that the advanced mode affected other places.

Any idea on how to report an image attached to that custom taxonomy as the default image for sharing from this point on?

We have over 150 terms and there is no way I can go in each one to select an image.

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow-up, and sorry for the delay.

You can set up your default Open Graph image in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta: OpenGraph Thumbnail
    Default OG

This default image will show when you are sharing your taxonomy pages to social media websites/applications.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

Hello πŸ™‚ Thanks for the reply.

I think I wasn’t clear enough with my question, I’d like to rephrase it:

We have a custom taxonomy for brands that have stores in our website. These brands can upload their logos, and the logos get attached to the custom taxonomy.

Of course, when a brand wants to share their store on social media, our website’s logo appears. However, again of course, they want their brand logo to be seen.

Is there a way to add a filter to probably my child theme functions page which tells rankmath to get this logo dynamically from each custom taxonomy term.

I maybe wouldn’t mind to set these up manually by going in each brand and set an image for open graph, but sometimes these brands even change their logos and we have over 150 brands on the site.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please describe how the uploaded images are attached to your custom taxonomy? As featured images of the brand or something else. It will also be helpful if you can share a couple of URLs so we can check and assist you accordingly.

We really look forward to helping you.

Hello! First of all, I don’t mind the delay. You guys are awesome.

    Our website is https://triber.shop

    We are a merchandising website where anyone can open a store and create their brand. Here are some brands our members created;

    https://triber.shop/markalar/portidesign
    https://triber.shop/markalar/gzone
    https://triber.shop/markalar/cherry
    https://triber.shop/markalar/kadinlarinelinden

The logos of the brands are saved in a dynamic image variable, a custom field which is very similar to how the plugin Perfect Brands for WooCommerce operates.

    Hello,

Thank you for the update, and sorry for the delay.

In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
