Custom Rich Snippets Not Imported

I have a client that I migrated to Rank Math from Yoast SEO. There are a couple of issues:

    1. I do not see where I can add in their LinkedIn URL in social profiles
    2. They had custom properties set in Yoast for descriptions and images for each post that didn’t appear to import into Rank Math.

Please let me know how to correct these issues. I have searched through the KB and tickets and couldn’t find this information.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    1. We removed other multiple Social meta options, as they are not required anymore for the Knowledge Graph by Google & Bing. You should only see the needed options in the Global Social Meta settings page. Currently the only options in Rank math are facebook and twitter. Here is a screenshot for your reference: https://i.rankmath.com/vc91MU

    2. Are you referring to social sharing images and descriptions? Could you please share a URL we can check from our end or some screenshots to compare how it appeared previously and now? You can also check your URL using facebook debugger here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ to confirm if the opengraph meta is added correctly.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

To be clear, the social rich snippets are there, but are not the customized versions. It appears the wizard didn’t import the custom edits with Rank Math. I had to roll back the plug-in.

    Hello,

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Did rolling back help? You can also try running the import again by heading to Rank math > Status & Tools > Import & Export

Let us know if this is resolved.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

By rolling back, I mean that I had to return to Yoast SEO. Unfortunately, this client was a nightmare so I’m not getting a second chance to try to import again. They are mandating that they stick with Yoast.

    Hello,

We are sorry to hear that.

In any case they might change mind, please consider sharing the customized snippets and then we can try and see if there is a similar customization that can be done on Rank math.

Do you wish to close this thread then? If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
