    Hello RankMath.

With this, it is the third ticket that I open, because I have not been able to solve this problem that I have.

This last option that I have seen has to do with the custom fields that I want to implement in the files of my website.

I share a video about what I’m talking about.

    Thank you very much.

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I can check that you have applied an Elementor template to the Archive of your CPT. And in the template, you have used a custom field to insert the SEO title. However, the custom field is in the template and not on the Archive page. That’s why the customfield variable will not be able to fetch any value when used on the Archives as the archive doesn’t have that field.

You can modify and use the following filter to fetch the value of the field from the template and save it inside a variable and then use that variable to apply the title to the archives: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#add-extra-variables

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Hi Jaydeep,

Thank you very much for your answer.

Unfortunately I don’t really understand how to implement the code you are suggesting. Could you share a loom or something similar to correct my problem.

In fact, if you want to enter the site directly, you also have the credentials.

I understand that with what you tell me, I will be able to see the title and the meta description in the files and that I will be able to determine which title I want to see.

Do you know if this also applies to the category files that I am going to create?

Thank you so much again for your help.

    Hello,

Please share the URL of the template that you are using for the Archive page so we can create a custom filter.

And the category pages are directly accessible in the backend and you can simply edit them and change the metadata. You can also apply the custom field directly on the category pages and use the default custom field variable to fetch the value of the field. So you don’t need a custom variable for the category pages.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Hi Jaideep, thank you very much for your prompt response, you don’t know how much I appreciate it.

this is the template that I want to be able to put the title and description with custom fields https://staging2.smowl.net/wp-admin/post.php?post=12974&action=edit but I will also have to be able to put the title in the other cpt you can create, or in the english file for example. I hope to make myself understood.

    Hello,

I checked your site and it seems like you have removed the custom fields from the template and Metabox plugin from your site.

Can you please confirm if you have decided to use the filter that we shared in another ticket to add the title?

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello Jaideep

I would have loved the custom fields to work so I could show it on my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/Sebasweb_/videos but since it didn’t work, I opted to leave the custom code in the website.

    Hello,

Using the filter to add the title & description is also a better workaround as it is also adapting to the language of your site and you don’t have to add an extra plugin just to add the title & description.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch in case you need any other assistance.

    Thanks.
