    Hello,

    I’m trying to modify my content and headings to incorporate Content AI’s keyword suggestions with the most search volume. However, incorporating all these suggestions leads to excessive use of the focus keyword and the focus keyword gets highlighted in Red and also reduces my Content AI score. Please refer to the screenshot here: https://ibb.co/CJ4R587. However, my keyword density under the SEO menu is 1.1, which is still acceptable and in green.

    Will this excessive use (highlighted in red) of the focus keyword cause any SEO penalty from Google? If yes, how to incorporate all Content AI keyword suggestions while still keeping the use in acceptable limits?

    Please note that content AI and SEO scores are internal tests by Rank Math that help you optimize your content for the best results. The tests are not visible to Google. The SEO score is calculated using a fixed set of formulas that are the same for every website. The SEO score keyword density was derived from a general observation of most posts on the internet.

    The Content AI works by scanning top performing posts for the keyword you enter and gives recommendations based on the structure of those posts. So for example, if the Content AI recommends you use a keyword once it is because top performing posts for that keyword have been observed to use it once.

    SEO score and Content AI are models to provide recommendations that work for most cases, but if you believe the calculations do not work for your post, you can ignore the recommendations and let them turn red. You will not receive any penalties as Google cannot see the scores.
