I am currently using the Astra theme for my WordPress website, and I have noticed that the theme includes support for Rank Math breadcrumbs using the add_theme_support(‘rank-math-breadcrumbs’) function.

Considering this integration between Astra and Rank Math, I would like to confirm which breadcrumbs option I should select within the theme settings: “Default” or “Rank Math.”

Given that my theme has already added support for Rank Math breadcrumbs, I want to ensure that I make the appropriate choice to optimize the breadcrumbs functionality on my website.

Hello,

In addition above, when you select Rank Math for your breadcrumbs, it automatically adds the correct breadcrumbList schema to your posts and pages which will help search engines understand the hierarchical structure of your site.

Rank Math is automatically adding the BreadCrumbs schema even when the astra theme is using default BreadCrumbs. So in this case can I select the default option?

You can select the Rank Math option so that Rank Math can handle and display the breadcrumbs on your website and also so that Rank Math schema markup will start appearing on the pages instead of the default Astra Breadcrumb.
