Change the color of Keywords

    Hello,

RankMath is changing the color of Focus Keywords to the color of links. As a result, readers click on keywords believing that they are links.

We were able to switch the color to white by altering css, but when the background is white, the words are not visible anymore. see this picture: i.is.cc/1xAUMQ1M.png

How can we avoid this? I’d like keywords to remain of the standard font, without color alteration.

    Thanks in advance,
    G
PS: can you inform G**********@N************************ that you have posted an answer to this request? Thanks.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

It seems to be working fine on our end:
    https://www.loom.com/share/bc9e06d5ac5d4802b6f7cf5bccdb717c

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

We really look forward to helping you.

    OK, I found it:
Div / theme options / SEO / Enable Meta Keywords = Enabled
The different formatting stooped after switching that option.

Well, I am really not very good. The problem still persists, so I probably didn’t find the right cause in WordPress/Divi.
If you know where to look, I will appreciate it.

    Hello,

We would like to take a look at the settings.

Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    Hello,

    Thanks for the details.

I was able to login into your website’s backend but I couldn’t replicate the issue. The focus keywords were not in the color of links. Please see the screencast available in the sensitive data section of this ticket.

I also checked the source of the focus keywords and I don’t see any Custom CSS applied to them.

Could you please share the affected URL? Also, please let me know if I’m missing something.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thanks.

Interesting. Thank you for looking into this. Nice app your Loom..

-> the SEC priorities article still has a highlighted keyword… the “SEC” word in the first sentence: i.is.cc/1G3Wygg9.png
-> RankMath has “SEC” as a keyword, but since you have demonstrated that other Rankmath keywords were not highlighted, it had to be elsewhere.
-> I found the keyword also in the TaxoPress Tag plugin: i.is.cc/1G4aEUxH.png
-> I found this setting in the TaxoPress settings: i.is.cc/1G4hu0qb.png

I have deactivated that option, but the problem persists.

It is definitely TaxoPress causing the issue. If I remove SEC from the list of TaxoPress keywords, the word is not highlighted anymore in the post.

I have played with the settings, It seems to have eliminated the problem. Let me know if you see the same.
