Hello, I need one help around the meta description which I am adding to the Categories Taxonomy, Attached is the snapshot for the updated Description. But if you take a look at the evaluation from the website i.e. Sitechecker, Or Ubersuggest as well it shows that the meta description is not present.
I tried searching for the page source as well and I can’t find the meta description.
Can anyone help me what I missing here?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I don’t see any screenshot attached. Could you upload it to https://imgur.com/ and add the URL to the Sensitive Data section?

About your problem, are you using a cache plugin? If yes, did you try to empty the cache?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi,

You are right, the meta description tag doesn’t seem to be getting added to the amsterdam category for some reason.

Since it is working on our test install, it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Please let me know if you find the culprit.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

If that doesn’t work, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

I have checked several categories and their source code and all of them has meta descriptions added. I also tried to check them using the https://www.heymeta.com/

But Google hasn’t seen the changes already as you can check by seeing the Google cache for that page:
    a.

    b.

If the cache date is from before adding the new meta description, then you just have to wait for Google to re-crawl and re-index the page with the new info. If the date is after you made the changes,

Do note that if everything’s fine and Google still decides to show a different meta title/description for your search keyword, there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

The best you can do is optimize your meta tags to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

You can read more about it here

    https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35624?hl=en

This section sheds light on that:

Why the search result title might differ from the page's <title> tag

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
