Category Sitemap not showing, got 404 error.
    1. Use permalink trick. But not work.
    2. Go to category>> select a category>> advanced>> Robots Meta is Index. But not Work.
    3. Don’t published any post in my site. just write a post and put on Draft. Set category for that. But not work. Now Published the same post. but not work.

    What can I do now?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

We don’t have a procedure since the reasons for your issue could be hundreds, that is why we asked for login, to be able to check the site and determine the cause.

Since you say you have no posts, it could be the reason. There is an option in Rank Math that automatically sets as no-index categories (and tags) without posts using the category, to avoid thin content pages found by Google. Once you add at least one post, the category is automatically set as index.

    Looking forward to help you.

I already said that I published a post and select a category for that, but it didn’t work.

    Hello,

It is likely your caching plugin is caching your sitemap. Head over to your caching plugin and exclude your sitemap URLs from being cached. If you don’t know how, you can check the plugin documentation or ask the plugin support to help you exclude your URLs.

You can then clear your cache and try resaving the permalink & sitemap settings.

If this still doesn’t work, could you at least share the category URL so we can check from our end.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
