Hi there! I am in the process of setting up Rank Math, and I have come across a problem: all sitemaps – except the category sitemap – work fine. The category sitemap first went to 404. I first tried to flush permalinks as suggested on your website (Settings > Permalinks and hit the “Save Changes”) but nothing happened. Then I clicked on “Purge SG cache” on my website – and first the sitemap link went to my homepage – but now the “no search results found”-page? Are you able to help? Thanks a lot in advance. 🙂 Lars

  • Additional info. My head is spinning. Now the category sitemap comes up, but shows only 1 category.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you check if you have set your categories to noindex.

If not we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

Thank you for coming back to me, Michael. Before I give you guys access, where would I see if I had set the categories to no-index? Just so that I learn. 🙂 Lars

    Hello,

You can enter on each category and see in the Rank Math’s Advanced section if you have it set as no-index, as I show you in this screencast:

    Looking forward to help you.

Great – found it! However, it took me a while to understand that I had to select the “Advanced mode” (either from the top right in the dashboard or in the wizard) to get access to the “Advanced”-tab (plus a lot of other functionality – despite being logged in as an administrator). It could possibly be a bit clearer in the installation wizard that you need to select the “advanced”-option to see all functionality.

Thanks a lot for your help.
    🙂 Lars
