category not showing in sitemap

    Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Please headover to Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > Taxonomies > Category :

    And enable the “Include in sitemap” option.

    After that flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    As for your sitemap.xml path not redirecting to sitemap_index.xml, could you please check if there’s any physical sitemap file in your FTP? It seems that the sitemap.xml is showing different content. If you find any, please delete it.
