Hello,
We apologize for the inconvenience you are facing with your category not appearing in the sitemap. To include categories in the sitemap, you need to ensure that the category archive page has posts attached to it. If the category archive page is empty with no posts, it will be excluded by default.
To resolve this issue and include empty terms like categories in your sitemap, please follow these steps:
- Navigate to Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings.
- Enable the Include Empty Terms option in your category archive settings.
Here is a screenshot for reference:
After enabling this option, your category should appear in the sitemap. If you encounter any further issues or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out to our dedicated support team here.
Thank you for reaching out to us for support.
Kind regards.

Hello,
It seems that you have already marked this ticket as already resolved. Could you please confirm?
Meanwhile, from your screenshot, it seems that you didn’t enable the “Include Empty Terms” option.
Let us know how this goes.
Hello,
Please make sure that your category pages are set to index
. You can check that in your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Categories.
If the category is already set to index and the issue persists, please follow the steps below:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

3. Apply the following filter code to your site.
add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');
