    Product-category.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked your sitemap, and it seems that it is currently getting a 404 page not found error.

For initial troubleshooting, please make sure that your sitemap is not getting cached. Please follow these steps:

    1. Ensure you’re using the latest version of your plugins/theme including the Rank Math plugin.

    2. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/xXXhDt

    3. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

That’s right, I disabled the sitemap because I was looking for a solution to the problem.
    Now is on

On the site has Polylang installed.
I saw in the history of calls to support, the user contacted you with a similar problem.

I’m even more interested in custom adding rows to the sitemap.
I tried the filter method listed here: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/how-to-add-hreflang-tags-in-sitemap-without-plugin/
But it doesn’t help. No rows are added to the sitemap.

    Hello,

I checked the current Sitemap and it seems that Rank Math is no longer generating it.

Unfortunately, Rank Math is still not yet 100% compatible with Polylang. Rank Math does not control the hreflang and alternate tags, we rely on Polylang for that.

We have been trying to collaborate with them for a few years but left the conversation when they refused to add the compatibility even though they have it for several other plugins (some of them have a smaller user-base compared to RM)

    https://github.com/polylang/polylang/tree/master/integrations

You can check their public repository where we created a pull request (linked to from your opening post) a few years back and we would have maintained it (though that would not have happened ideally since we do not make changes in the plugin that breaks the compatibility).

Disappointingly, the compatibility needs to be added in their plugin as they added for other SEO plugins. We are more than committed to making that happen and always keep it updated, of course, if their team agreed and wanted to collaborate.

As for filter issue, could you please share the customized filter you are trying to implement here?

Looking forward to helping you on this one.
