Can’t type certain letters into focus keyword block

Hi, I’m trying to input a word into the ‘Focus Keyword’ section, and there’s certain letters it’s not accepting. So I’m trying to have ‘Coronavirus’as the keyword, and characters.

I am using the latest versions of WordPress and Divi

    O – open project settings
    H – editing history
    P – portability

I’ve tried it in both Chrome and Firefox, as well as Chrome incognito – it’s doing the same.

I’ve also tried it in two different websites, which are hosted on different servers…

I’ve now tried it by rolling back the divi version from 4.4.3 to 4.4.2 and it’s working, so there’s an incompatibility somewhere. You might want to look into that or speak with Elegant Themes.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We have a recent update release with a fix on a number of issues. Would you please install and let us know if the issue still persists.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I’ve just checked and I’m on the RankMath 1.0.42.2 and with the latest Divi Install as of today – it’s doing the exact same thing as the above.

When I got to type in the Focus Keyword, it’s bringing Divi Page Options when I press O for example. It’s making it impossible to edit rank math SEO.

Can you look into this and resolve it ASAP please

    Hi Ethan,

I am sorry but that is due to the shortcuts of Divi. You must contact their support and ask how to disable the shortcuts when you are typing. They had a similar issue in the past:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/yoast-in-conflict-with-page-builder/

They will have to fix it for Rank Math as well since this is not something we can do.

    Thank you.

This worked fine prior to the 1.042.0 update.

It is a RankMath problem, not a DIVI problem. RankMath version 1.041.2 works fine with DIVI 4.4.3.

I have the same problem. Will you look into this? Techno007 is saying that it worked no problem before the newest Rankmath update.

    Hello,

We will be taking a closer look as we said.

In the meantime, you can copy/paste your SEO info or disable Keyword Shortcuts from Divi.

    Thank you.

No, you cannot copy and paste or disable the DIVI keyboard shortcuts. You must be thinking of the WordPress Visual Builder. Telling people that there is a work around is not at all accurate.

It is not possible to turn off the Keyboard Shortcuts in DIVI without either turning off the DIVI visual builder entirely or by modifying the PHP code of DIVI.

Again, this was not an issue until the 1.042.0 update. There is no “In the meantime…” Therefore, I am stuck with the only solution of not updating the plugin until this issue is documented as fixed in the release notes. Hopefully, with that in mind this issue becomes a priority.

As techno007 says – you can’t copy and paste. It doesn’t work.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

We will be investigating these concerns further and then share our findings on this thread.

Your patience and understanding is highly appreciated.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Hello, I’m writing to chime in that I’m also having this issue. I can’t type anything with the letter P into the Focus Keyword field without it automatically bringing me to Divi’s Portability box (and not letting me finish typing the word).

    Lauren,

Best solution: (since Rank Math apparently does not see this bug as a priority) is to roll back your RankMath plugin to version 1.041.2 using the version control setting under the status and tools tab. Make sure you keep a copy of that version on your local hard drive in case other dot releases cause it to roll off of the dropdown menu of the setting.

This is working for us on ten different websites using either DIVI 4.4.4 or 4.4.3.

I am also having an issue and rank math does not seem to want to work with the divi theme

Great I can confirm 1.041.2 Version of Rankmath works fine :). Please post when its fixed on latest version

    Hello,

We have fixed the issue internally and we will release an update with a fix very soon.

We would really appreciate a bit more patience 🙂

    Thank you.

As another week has passed, our definitions of “very soon” are vastly different. Can you give us an ETA of when the fix will be released?
