Can’t Get Google Console To Verify Ownership?

    I put the verification code in the Webmaster Tools area of the plugin and submitted to the Google console and I keep getting Ownership verification failed errors?? I’ve never had this issue using Yoast for over 5 years, what’s up with this? See the screenshot below of the error report I’m getting:

    Failure reason:
    We couldn’t find your verification token in your domain’s TXT records.
    We found these DNS TXT records instead:

    I even tried the logging into the Godaddy option and that didn’t work either…I’m really trying to like these plugin guys but these hold up are costing me money.

    Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    In your screenshot, you have chosen the domain property method which needs to be done via your DNS provider.

    For the HTML meta tag option, you can paste the code at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Webmaster Tools > Google

    Then, clear your website cache and then click the verify button in Google Search Console. You can also view your page’s source to verify that the correct tag is added to your page by Rank Math.

    That should do the trick.
