Can’t connect to Search console

  • Hi, i’ve tried connecting rankmath to our search console account and once i have given permission, it appears to connect. When i try to select an account, however, it doesn’t give me any options.

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    If you are using v4 of Google analytics, this might not work.

    GA4 is relatively a new product and is in Beta, & there could be data discrepancies if we were to integrate them into Rank Math. And the fact that their APIs are not yet fully ready for 3rd party integration, there is not much we can do.

    However, we will begin working on the integration as soon as they improve their V4 API.

    In the meantime, you can enable GA v3 by following this:
    create a property
    and then choose
    ga 3

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for your reply. I am currently still using GA v3 so i don’t think that could be the issue.

    Besides not being able to connect GA, i can’t seem to connect search console either, which is more important to me.

    When I connect to my google account in the plugin settings, i can agree to the terms and it seems connected, but, no options appear when i try to select an account in the dropdown menu.

    Could anything else be the issue?

    Please follow these steps:

    If you are not seeing any data inside your Analytics module, this guide might help you.

    A. Pre-check List

    1. You should not be using Google Analytics v4 or Matomo Analytics.

    2. Update to the latest version of Rank Math Free & PRO

    3. Ensure that you are logged in to your paid account:

    4. Disconnect and reconnect your account from inside WordPress:

    B. Refresh Tokens

    1. Please delete RankMath’s app from here:
    https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

    2. Re-create tables by clicking WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools and click the Re-create database Table button.

    3. Reconnect the account inside Rank Math by clicking here and ensure that you approve all the permission notices that shows up:
    WP Dashboard >> Rank Math >> General Settings >> Analytics tab, and click the Reconnect link

    4. Let the process complete and it might take around 30 minutes.

    5. Now head over to WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools and click the Rebuild Index for Analytics button.

    6. Please check if the data shows up here:

    If that does not help, please paste the data from here:
    WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools and click the Rebuild Index for Analytics button
