Can't connect account - Support

Hello,

when I try to connect my Rank Math Account it just opens the front page of Rank Math.com.

What is going wrong? Does the “umlaut” in the URL cause the trouble?

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Rank Math plugin. If not yet, please do update them. You may refer to our changelog page here: https://rankmath.com/changelog/

When you go into WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General, do the “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” have the same setup? Meaning both urls have the same exact protocols. They should be matching and not have a mismatch.

Hello,

The issue was with the “umlaut” on your website URL that was not being parsed properly.

We added the website by encoding that character and as such registering with the URL you see now on your account here: https://rankmath.com/my-account/websites/

If you go to the website you’ll see your account showing as connected.

Thanks – I thought so. Also changed it not in general settings and now pretty permalinks are working.
