Canonical URLs

    Hello,

where is the right place to set the canonical url? I used the advanced tab to set it individually for each page and blogpost, but my external SEO-Tool now shows an error, saying that it locates more than one canonical-link per page and blogpost. Is there a default general setting somewhere within rankmath I can’t find?

    Thanks for help!

    Hello,

The right place is exactly where you said you are doing it so it might be you have another plugin (or the theme) adding another canonical link on each page.

You could try to find it by using our plugin conflict guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Please let us know if you find the culprit.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello Alberto,

thanks for your reply and the advices on checking the conflict.

I solved the problem – it was the installed theme adding another canonical link.

    Thanks so much for helping!

    Have a nice day
