    Hello,

Thank you for such a great SEO plugin. It’s working fine with everything but it has one issue that I want you to help me resolve so that your users can be completely satisfied with the plugin.
I’m using WordPress for my blog and I want to add canonical tags on Filters available on my homepage. It’s becoming a duplicate content issue that – you know- harm the SEO part. Can you please help me add a canonical tag for filters?
I have contacted my WordPress theme support team but they said it’s my SEO plugin issue.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I have inspected your page source and I can see that the canonical tag exists on the pages. Would you mind letting us know how you determined that it does not exist?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I use multiple tools to check it out. Here is an example tool,

    https://www.seoreviewtools.com/canonical-url-location-checker/
    Insert the page,

    https://inspiredn.com/page/2/
And there is no canonical for homepage. Same is the case with categories.

    HI Junaid,

    Thanks for the follow up.

The canonicals are missing from the paginated archives because you have set these pages to noindex. Please modify the robots meta for these pages to fix the missing canonical.
You can achieve this by heading over to Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Misc Pages > Noindex Paginated Pages and set this option to “Off”

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

I just no indexed because these pages were causing a duplicate issue. Because the canonical tag was not properly there.

    Hello,

    Apologies for the delay.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
