Canonical tag for home pages missing trailing slash

#16985

    Rank Math free

    Hi,

When switching on RankMath the canonical tags for the home pages (its a multisite setup) change from ending with a trailing slash to ending without a trailing slash.

This is causing issues, as the non-trailing slash URLs redirect to trailing slash, as per usual WordPress behavior.

Without Rankmath installed the canonicals correctly end with a trailing slash, as they do when using other SEO plugins to.

    Thanks

  • Hi Pratik,

I have updated the access to Sueradmin for the network now (its a multisite setup)

    Hi,

I am experiencing some issues with my multisite setup too, essentially if I use “Strip Category Base” rank math strips the prevailing / between the category and the multisite sub directory

    For example

    With option off, link is:
    https://richwoman.co/uk/category/style/

    With option on, link becomes

    https://richwoman.co/ukstyle/

essentially / is missing between “UK” (multisite subdirectory) and “style” (category)

This is gives 404 errors as richwoman.co/ukstyle/ does not exist.

Anyway to fix this and strip the base category?

    Much appreciated!
