Canonical not showing trailing slash in page source

    I notice that by default, the default canonical URL under advanced (ie if you just leave the field without adding another URL) then the field default text shows the URL as having a trailing slash.

    However when you look at the browser page source, there is no trailing slash. Why is this?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Please head over to WP Dashboard > Settings > General and check whether the Site Address and WordPress Address contain a trailing slash. If this is not set then Rank Math will not generate a trailing slash on your canonical links.
