Hi! I’ve set canonical url to some of my pages to end without a trailing backslash, I also use a link without the trailing backslash (from my starting page) but still when I press that link, I get sent to a page with the trailing backslash.

Check “recension” under “bethard”, it should lead to Link 1 but it adds the backslash and sends me to that page instead. Under the page source I can see that the canonical url is set to end with a “/” aswell.. however these are my rank
    math settings: Image 1

I get errors in my SEO tool like these: Image 2 (not the filesize, but it crawls the same url two times..)

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I have checked your image and I see you are entering the URL you want as canonical in the input field for the focus keyword.

You should enter the canonical URL here:

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Oh, well that’s awkward. Anyways, I entered it there aswell as you can see here: https://i.gyazo.com/6073c31f607fda69f6d170e379cf9682.png

Still when I enter the page, it adds a trailing backslash..
