I am trying to setup my account and whenever I add my gmail account, my website name will not populate in the drop down box for “search console” – I am wondering if it’s because I have an outlook.com email setup with WordPress? Please help as I really want to get this up and running as quick as possible.

    Thank you!
    Carly

  • Hello,

I apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with connecting your Google services to your website. It’s possible that the issue might be related to the email setup, but it’s also important to ensure that the website is properly verified and connected to your Google account.

To resolve this, please follow these steps:

    1. Make sure that your website is properly verified in the Google Search Console using your Gmail account.

    2. Navigate to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics and click on Connect Google Services.

    3. Choose your Gmail account and provide the necessary permissions as prompted.

    4. Once connected, ensure that the correct property is selected from the Site drop-down list under the Search Console option.

If you’re still facing issues after following these steps, please let us know so we can further assist you.

Thank you for reaching out, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue for you.

    Hello,

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

For troubleshooting, you can skip the Google connection process in the Setup Wizard.

After completing the setup, head over to your WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and reconnect your website to your Google account.

Also, please verify using the URL prefix and ensure that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

    Prefix

You can follow our guide here to create the URL Prefix property:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/#num-1-1-open-google-search-console

The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you. In addition, the domain property won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.

Let us know how this goes.

Thank you! This was helpful but now I am not seeing my account in the next section’s drop down menu so that I can create a new G4A key under the Analytics tab. Can you tell me how I can do that so I can setup the Analytics part now as well? Thanks so much!

    Hello,

    You’re welcome.

You can visit this page (https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/) and sign up for a Google Analytics account and property, then reconnect your Google Account so the new Analytics account will reflect.

    Hope that helps.
