Call to action button showing up as a permanent redirect

    Hello,

I have a number of call to action buttons on my website (directing people to internal links), but there are showing up as permanent redirects when crawled, which I do not want. I spoke with Elementor support about their call to action buttons, but they directed me to you. I would really appreciate any help fixing this.

    Thank you

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with the call to action buttons on your website showing up as permanent redirects. To address this problem, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check for 301 Redirects: Verify if there are any unintentional 301 redirects set up for the call to action buttons. These redirects might be causing the internal links to be treated as permanent redirects.

    2. Inspect Redirections in Rank Math: If you are using Rank Math SEO plugin, you can review and manage your redirections by going to Rank Math > Redirections in your WordPress admin dashboard. Ensure that no unintended redirects are set up for the internal links.

    3. Update or Remove Redirects: If you find any incorrect redirects, you can update or remove them using the Rank Math Redirections feature.

If you need further assistance or encounter any difficulties while following these steps, please assign this ticket to a human agent for more personalized support.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We are here to help you resolve this issue promptly.

Hi, I have updated all of the RankMath redirects and don’t have any 301 redirects matching what I am seeing with the call to action buttons.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

The only buttons that are creating redirections are the ones where the URL is added without the trailing slash and since you have a server redirection performing those redirections, any URLs without it will be redirected to the variation with the trailing slash.

Those redirections are not handled by our plugin or any other plugin/theme on your website.

To get rid of those you need to add the URLs in the buttons correctly with the trailing slash.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
