Bulk change redirects

Hi – I have 3,000 links I need to redirect to 410 – but they import as 301

These are malware spam links so I want Google to know they gone and don’t exist.

I can’t figure out how to do this. I tried to export, do find/replace to change 301 to 401 and then import but that didn’t work.

    Would appreciate your advice.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I am afraid that the plugin does not have a bulk edit option on the UI to help in this. I can however suggest that you make use of the “Export to .htaccess” option which will make it easier to do a find and replace using a text editor. You can then add the edited entries to your .htaccess file.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

    Hello,

I wanted to add that there is an easy way to do it.

If you have a list of URLs you want to redirect to a 410, simply add them to your clipboard and paste them into the box at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Redirections > Add New. Rank Math will create a new field with each URL.

    Here’s a GIF for reference:
    bulk import

I tried importing 3000 dummy URLs in the above GIF. You see the error towards the end because the URLs aren’t valid, obviously. Please give it a try with your actual URLs and let us know how it goes.
