Bug showing in the SERP

    How to fix this bug:

    I made a blog:

Awesome American-Style Burgers at SKB Burger:
    (SENSITIVE 1)

Keyword at high greens was just: Burgers at SKB Burger

But after a month, I am top of the second page (which is normal)

What isn’t is my Homepage is ranked for it – not the blog!

Homepage (SENSITIVE 2) like a magazine-based site that’ll feature the latest or whatever.

Added screenshot link to the Sensitive Data (SENSITIVE 3)

    How to fix this?

    Thanks

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked your homepage, and it seems that you’re showing your latest posts.

Please note that sometimes the homepage can Rank higher than the post especially on a site where the homepage is set to include the latest posts. The Ranking for the homepage is likely to change when you publish more articles and Google crawls different articles on your homepage.

Since the homepage has more “authority” than subpages, for Google, that page has a priority ranking.

You should try to optimize your subpage for the keyword you want to rank, try to “deoptimize” the homepage for that keyword, link from your homepage to the subpage you want to rank (if possible, using as anchor the keyword you want to rank the subpage for) and building some internal and external links pointing to that subpage to gain authority.

This article provides a more clear picture of what might be happening in your case:

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

Thank you – amazing info, and I will work on that!

    Many thanks to you.
