Bug in version 1.0.64 ? - Support

On update to version Rankmath 1.0.64 , I get a weird bug when trying to edit an ‘Advanced Title’ – the link symbol (-) from the block editor is shown in a giant size! (See the attached screenshot). This seems to happen when I edit any item that has a link (-) option as part of the block editor menu, on any page.

I’m using the latest version of the Kadence Theme and the latest version of Firefox. Interestingly the bug didn’t seem to occur in Google Chrome.

When rolling back to Rankmath version 1.0.63 , the bug is fixed. (BTW – Great having the rollback feature!)

Any assistance is greatly appreciated – I really enjoy using Rankmath!

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I was able to replicate the issue with Kadence Blocks. Please contact the dev team of Kadence themes and inform them about the issue. We will also check this and see if it can be resolved from our end.

As the issue is only happening on the blocks added by the Kadence Block plugin and not with the regular Gutenberg blocks, they should be able to resolve this.

We released a quick Beta update you can try to see if that helps.

Please enable the Beta update by following this:
https://rankmath.com/kb/version-control/#beta-updates

If you are unable to see an update, please clear Rank Math’s transients from:
WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Remove Rank Math Transients > Remove transients

Please clear the caches, server, and WordPress after updating.

You can disable the Beta updates once you update to the latest version and if the issue is fixed.

Hi Jaideep,

Thank you. I set up a copy of the website in a staging area and installed the beta version of Rank Math… and it fixed the problem!

For the live version of the website, I’ll leave version 1.0.63 active until the new beta version goes live.

FYO: As you advised, I contacted Kadence theme dev team. They installed another block library ‘Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg’ and got the same issue with some of those blocks.

Thanks for getting back.

Yes, we were able to identify that the issue was also there with some other Gutenberg blocks. We have fixed all the reported issues with Gutenberg Link modal option and the link icon, in the recent beta update.

I would like to recommend using this beta update as you can check it’s just a quick fix for these issues and doesn’t have any new under-testing features. So you don’t have to worry about any bugs and issues being caused by the beta version. https://rankmath.com/changelog/

However, if you want then you can wait for a stable release and keep using version 1.0.63 till then.
