How do I control BuddyPress settings?
Is it okay to have a lot of pages with a “no index” tag associated with BuddyPress?
And is it okay that I do not see any BuddyPress-related setting in your plugin’s control panel?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Yes, it is normal to add noindex to you BuddyPress Custom Post Type. You can actually set it in the Settings.

To see your BuddyPress settings on Rank Math dashboard, make sure you have enabled the module and you should be able to access them in the Titles & Meta menu.

Please refer to this video screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/2gHRJD

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Its module is enabled in settings.
Is the reason members are defined as non-indexed because the author pages are inactive?
Is it not possible to make sure that there are no author pages on the site, and on the other hand that the profile pages of Bodypers are indexed?

    Hello,

BuddyPress members are the same as WordPress users. Basically, individual author pages are channeled to individual member pages when BuddyPress is enabled and the only way to change the robots meta related to your members pages is to make changes to your author pages.

If you want you can customize the look of the pages, this should be available in your theme customization options.

If what you want is the members page, which lists all members, you should edit the page you have selected under WordPress Settings > BuddyPress > Pages

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
