I am so sorry about that.
You might have to ask the No Category Base (WPML) plugin’s developer to fix this. If you disable that plugin, you will notice that Rank Math is working correctly.
Moreover, Rank Math already offers options to disable category base and you can access those options at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > WooCommerce.
Do let us know if anything’s needed from our end to make it work.

Is there a way to make a clean move towards rank math in this matter? If I disable the no category base Plugin I will get a lot of 404 errors and the google bot will not be pleased with that…

Thanks for the follow up.
Rank Math already contains an option to remove the category base and once this plugin is disabled, you will only have to head over to Rank Math > General Settings > WooCommerce > Remove Category base and enable this option to ensure that there are no 404 errors.

I have changed the removing the category tag – function to Rank Math. So, now Rank Math removes the tag. However, it still doesnt show a proper breadcrumb within proudct pages 🙁

I am glad one issue is fixed.
For showing the breadcrumbs in the product pages, you must place the PHP code for breadcrumbs in your single-product.php file as well.
Where exactly you should place that is a question that can be better answered by your theme provider.
