I have been using rank math on my WordPress website for the past year.
On March 31, I connected rank math to my google analytics account, after that my bounce suddenly increase from 1% to 74%.
I was already using the Google Sitekit plugin for analytics.
    My website is- jobgulf.in

I have disconnected Analytics from rank math but still, the bounce rate is almost the same.
Can you help me to solve this problem or suggest some solution?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked your site using our External SEO Analyzer, and it seems that there as some points that you may need to check regarding your site performance.

If your website isn’t currently using a caching plugin (or some sort of server-level caching), your bounce rate will be through the roof because according to Google website visitors (now more than ever) actually expect a website to load extremely quickly.

We also recommend using the Redirect Attachments as the audience that lands upon the image or the attachment page tend to move away from it which thereby increases the bounce rate.

You can also use Rank Math’s 404 Monitor to keep an eye on your pages that your visitors could not reach, which leads your site to have a high bounce rate. Here’s a link for more information:

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

I think that’s not the reason behind the sudden increase in bounce rate from 1% to 74%.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Please note that there are a lot of issues that would cause your site to have a high bounce rate one of the major reasons being poor user experience. In most cases, your users will not access your homepage once they are in SERPs but instead, they will visit one of your pages/post. These are the main tracked sections in your website that will determine the bounce rate of your website.

For instance, I have just accessed this link: https://yourdomain.in/gulf-jobs-drivers-and-operators-required/ on your website and the first thing I see is a popup from an Advert. Any user looking for a job for instance would not want to come across obstructions of popups when accessing your site. If they do come across a popup they are most likely to leave your site and this will increase the bounce rate of your site on your GA.

Please check on that and try removing the disruptive adverts and you will notice your bounce rate will improve.
Here are some other reasons why bounce rates may increase: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/website-bounce-rate/332439/

Hope this is more helpful. Please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
