    Hi,

    I have a site which has the following blog setup;

    1. Single Post Page
    2. Archive Page
    3. Home Page which has a three of the latest blog posts.

How best should these be indexed or not?

The site is built with Elementor.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You can set the pages(including) and posts to index. As for the categories, I’d recommend leaving them to noindex.

To avoid duplicate content issues you can also choose to noindex paginated pages or add a %page% variable to the page meta which will add a page number making each of the paginated pages unique.

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.

    Hi,

Just to clarify I can index the Arvhive Page and the Single Posts pages? Will that not mean duplicate content?

How about the mini blogs on the home page? Again, will that show as duplicate content?

    Thanks

    Dilip

    Hello,

It depends on your theme. Google is really good detecting duplicated content and it will understand it is not since it will find the source content in your site and also the canonical there, so you shouldn’t worry about it.

    Looking forward to help you.

    Hi,

The theme is a custom theme using underscores as a base theme, so I imagine this would need to be setup manually?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Do you mean the creation of the canonicals? They are generated by Rank Math. You can check (and config them) under the Advanced tab on every post.

    Looking forward to help you.
