I’ve checked your sitemap and also got an empty result. However, the source code is visible on that page.
In this case, please check if you have a static file with the same name as your sitemap file (sitemap_index.xml). You should FTP into your server and remove the file.
If there’s no such file, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
