Hi, I am not sure what happened but one of my articles scored 80+ before and then as soon as I added an incoming internal link pointing to this article, the score went down. And whatever changes I try to make in the article, nothing happens. It even says that my content is only 3 words long even though it’s more than 1500+ words article. I have tried to clear cache and use a different browser and it’s still the same. What can I do?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to this issue.

From your description of the issue, it appears that changes to your site’s metadata are not being effected. When this happens it’s usually caused by some sort of blockage on the route to save the metadata on the website.

While saving the data please keep the browser console open in the “Network” tab and see what is the status code of the following route: https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user (yourdomain.com is a placeholder for your site’s domain)

You can find the browser console in your browser following this guide: https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/

If it’s returning any other value than a 200, there’s something wrong with the route and we would request that you follow the steps here: https://rankmath.com/kb/meta-data-not-saving/

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi Ike,

Thanks for your reply. This is the error I found:

Uncaught TypeError: The element or ID supplied is not valid. (videojs)
    at Ls (main.js?ver=1.8.1:2:2284282)
    at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (main.js?ver=1.8.1:2:62611)

But I don’t have any videos on the article.

I checked the status code of the following route: https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user and it returned 200 on the status.

    Hello,

Can you please let us know if you are using the block from Kadence that is called “Buttons (Adv)”? We ask this because we noticed an issue with that block and our Content Analysis API and our developers are currently investigating that.

If you’re using this block on your pages, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section so that we can check the issue further for you.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
