Hi. I am considering signing up for a paid plan but im getting discouraged by one issue.

The plugin generated 3 schemas for me.

    Article, Local businesses and Organization

But it seems as though in the Article schema also contains the contents of Local businesses and Organization in it as well, making it really long and complex. Plus why add that in if the other 2 schemas alreayd carry that information.

Is there a way to alter what the article schema shows?

    Thanks.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the schema generation. Thank you for raising this concern.

The behavior you’re experiencing, where the Article schema includes information from Local Business and Organization schemas, can occur due to how the Rank Math plugin aggregates schema data. Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct option to customize what the Article schema displays separately from the other schemas.

However, you can manage the schemas by ensuring that each post or page is configured correctly in the Schema settings. If you want to limit the information included in the Article schema, you might consider adjusting the settings for the Local Business and Organization schemas to ensure they are only applied where necessary.

If you still have questions or need further assistance, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will take over and provide more detailed help.

    Thank you for your understanding!

Ok how would I do this? In the Local Business tab I can only provide information. I cannot designate where it does or does not show. So what is the ideal solution to my problem? Is this happening for everyone using your plugin or just my site?

Please give me some options. Thanks.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

The other Schema types are used as the property of the Article Schema as per Google’s guidelines. The Organization Schema is used for the publisher property, the WebPage Schema for the mainEntityOfPage, and the Person Schema for the author property. This will help with providing Google all the necessary information.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

So there are 3 schemas generated. Local Businesses, Organization and Article. Are you saying that not only do the other 2 schemas need to exist on their own, but they also need to be included inside the Article schema as properties per google’s guidelines?

    Hello,

Yes, the inclusion of Local Business and Organization information within the Article schema is aligned with Google’s guidelines. The reason for this setup is to provide comprehensive and structured data to search engines, ensuring they have all the necessary information to understand and rank your content appropriately.

We hope this helps address your concerns. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out.
