Are adult toys allowed with rich snippets?

    Hello,

    I have a review blog and review adult toys. Am I allowed to use the product rich snippet for that?

    In the following post Google says “Adult-related products are not supported”. However that is a little vague and I have a feeling they are referring to pornography rather than sex accessories like toys. A representative from Google ads told me I should be able to use snippets with adult toys but that I couldn’t promote them with google ads. She didn’t sound sure of her knowledge on snippets though.

    Also, do you know if I’m allowed to use the product rich snippet if I don’t actually sell the products myself?

    As you said, it is very vague in Google guidelines. Depends on what Google takes as “adult-related product”, the rich snippets will be displayed or not. In any case, it won’t be penalized so you can try to display them and if you have luck, it will be displayed.

    Another thing would be the ads, where you won’t be able to show them but it is very different than SEO.
