Archive Widget

Are there any issues suggesting RankMath may impact a WP Archive widget? My widget defaults to my home page rather than listing posts for a particular month. Any help/suggestions would be welcome. Thank you.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), you can check if this is a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Please let us know if you find the culprit.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Thank you Michael – I’ll take a look.

    Hello,

Please do and let us know how it goes.

Do not hesitate to get in touch if you need our assistance further.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello Michael,

Further to this issue – I deactivated all my plugins and put them back one by one. It seems the error I reported is being caused by the RankMath plugin. Have you any suggestions for a fix? I’d welcome your advice. Thank you.

    Hello Morgan,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Thank you Michael.
    Data added as requested.
    Best regards,
    Jakki

    Hello,

    We appreciate your patience.

The date archives are disabled via Rank Math and that is why the URLs for date archives are pointing to the homepage:

Although that is the recommended setting, you can enable the date archives and then the widget will work correctly.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello Uzair,

Thank you so much! I don’t know how I missed seeing where the error was. Maybe because I was following setup guidance from a Udemy tutorial. I have made the change you suggest and everything seems to be working now.

Once again, thank you very much.

    Closing support request.

    Hello,

If you do have another question in the future, please feel free to create a new forum topic, and it will be our pleasure to assist you again.

    Thank you.
