    Hi Bhanu,
We would very much appreciate your help on 2 issues on separate sites.

    1) Specific Rankmath meta description not appearing . The first sentence from every post is showing, this is not random across the site, it’s on every meta title and description.

    2) On some of our sites, RankMath has suddenly started only displaying the Analytics option which we can’t access any section of.

The much-loved Search console option has completely disappeared. This has changed from one week to the next so assuming it’s something to do with the new rollout for the Pro offering …

I worked through the Beta options given in a previous FB post addressing this issue, cleared transients and cache, but issues remain.

Does this also mean the Search Console function will be deleted? We hope not as the Word Tracker is useful for data.

We’ve been using RankMath for over 6 months now and just love it! Previously we had Yoast.

    Thanks in advance
    Chriss😊

  • Hello Chriss,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please ensure you have added a meta description to your page.

Add a Meta Description in Classic Editor:

Add title and description in Gutenberg:

You should also check if your title/description is properly set up in the page source:
    https://i.rankmath.com/HwXR1o

You can use this tool for the same as well: https://www.heymeta.com/

We revamped the Search Console module to the current analytics module. You should be able to access what you were able to access with the search console and more in a better way.

If you feel there is anything missing in this, please let us know so we can assist further. You can also share some screenshots, just upload them to https://imgbb.com then share the URLs in the sensitive section.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Michael,
    thanks for your reply.

Yes, each page has its meta title and description. I’ve uploaded an image of the metas. Here’s the link https://ibb.co/17hPVzJ

Here’s another link for the site https://moderngaragedoors.com.au

    https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=site%3Amoderngaragedoors.com.au

We revamped the Search Console module to the current analytics module. You should be able to access what you were able to access with the search console and more in a better way.

No. I am unable to access the details available previous with Search Console.

The majority on my sites are local business sites so data is vital for SEO.

Happy to share logins if required

The weird aspect is when asked to connect to GA, it adds and then deletes all GA info. so its always asking to be reconnected.

    We use Astra Theme.

And there is very little data available and its definitely not user friendly as Search Console was.

    Thanks in advance,
    Chriss

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

You seem to be using a number of outdated plugins on your site including Rank math and your theme. Please update the theme and plugins on your site to the latest releases so we can troubleshoot this further.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi Michael,
my apologies for the late reply!

The plugins are manually updated every week across all sites, as well as auto updates.

The theme is current Astra and updated as required to the latest version by our tech.

The incorrect meta description issue remains and this is across the most recent sites we are building.

    Thanks,
    Chriss

can you also give me a reply on the Search Console function being deleted across every site.

We understood the features were to remain.

Search Console function has been deleted across every site. We have a lot of sites being web developers for local business, we run lead generation sites and Search Console was a useful tool.

    Thanks,
    Chriss

We have spent the last hour looking at this issue across all recently built sites and are finding this issue of RankMath not displaying the correct meta description as added in Rankmath is a major problem across many site.

We have the Astra Agency Bundle and Astra is a major theme.

We would appreciate your assistance in quickly resolving this issue with Rankmath not displaying the correct meta descriptions.

These sites are lead generation sites for local business and they must have the correct descriptions displayed for click through rates and call leads for local business.

All plugins are updated on a weekly basis as is the theme when required.
We trust RankMath is compatible with Astra.

We have changed over the majority of our sites from Yoast, but we are concerned about this ongoing issue with Rankmath.

Please, please get this problem solved.

    Thanks,
    Chriss

    Thanks,
    Chriss

We were seriously considering and looking forward to investing in RankMath pro when it comes out.

But considering this issue, we are concerned as its not affecting one site, its multiple sites where RankMath is grabbing random text from anywhere on the page to display as the meta description

    Hello,
we would appreciate your assistance in the issues above.
We’ve purchased RM Pro and seriously hoping these issues will be fixed.

    Thank you,
    Chriss

    Hello Chriss,

If you check your site URL on Google, the description set in your page source is the description showing up on on the SERPs:
    img

Are there any specific URLs we need to check? Do note that Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

The best you can do is optimize your meta tags to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

You can read more about it here

    https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35624?hl=en

This section sheds light on that:

Why the search result title might differ from the page's <title> tag

As for the analytics module, we fixed the issue with disconnecting in our recent update. If there are any specific features you feel they are missing in this module, please let us know.

    Looking forward to helping you.
