Hello there! We have recently purchased the Pro plugin license and have also done most of the migrating steps. Could you please advise whether there is something else we should care about? Any tips, ideas? Our goal is to have the SEO as perfect as your plugin can offer.
Here is our roadmap so far:
Webmaster Tools Migration
Previous Configuration: Verification codes for third-party webmaster tools were managed through AIOSEO.
Migration Outcome: Verification codes successfully migrated to Rank Math. Existing configurations for Google and Pinterest verified as functional.
Search Appearance Settings
Observation: Layout differences noted between AIOSEO and Rank Math settings. Specifically evaluated the migration of global settings, excluding breadcrumbs.
Status: Settings appear to be correctly migrated; layout differences do not affect functionality.
Google/Social Share Image
Action Taken: Updated the default share image to a new client-provided image.
Result: New image successfully implemented in Rank Math settings.
Global Titles & Meta
Review: Assessed migration of global settings for all post types.
Adjustments Made: Changes recommended for title settings, short descriptions, and other meta information to align with best practices.
Social Meta
Verification: Social network links for Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest were migrated and verified for accuracy.
Local SEO
Focus: Checked Rank Math for inclusion of contact number, working hours, business type, website name, address, and specified pages.
Outcome: Most information correctly migrated; address and email to be updated.
Sitemap Settings
Evaluation: Ensured that sitemap settings were correctly migrated.
Conclusion: The new sitemap contains fewer entries, which is acceptable as it removed unnecessary items.
404 Monitor
Status: 404 monitoring feature activated in Rank Math.
Redirections
Task: Verified the activation of redirections and the migration of active redirects from the redirection plugin to Rank Math.
Note: A potential duplicate or missing redirect identified; needs further investigation.
Post, Pages, Product Meta Data
Comparison: Evaluated the migration of “Focus Keyword”, Meta title, and Meta description for posts, pages, and products.
Insight: Some discrepancies noted; requires alignment.
Product Category Meta Data
Insight: Focus keywords for categories were not previously set in AIOSEO. Verified the SEO settings for categories in both environments.
Product Image/Homepage Banner Alt Tags
Verification: Checked alt tags for approximately 20 products and homepage banners in both live and test environments. Consistencies found.
