    Rank Math free

    Hi,

I installed rank math and connected it to google analytics – now every page in my website has this: “?v=8e3eb2c69a18” in the url.
From what I’ve researched it’s a utm? But it is really slowing down my site and I don’t know how to turn it off. Can you help me?

    Thanks,
    Hector

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Rank Math doesn’t have an option to add these filters/parameters to your URL. Could you please also share the affected URL to check? You can add it in the sensitive data section
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure, and only our support staff has access to that section.

Also, where are you seeing the links with that parameter?

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thanks for getting back.

The ?v= added in your URL is coming from WooCommerce. WooCommerce adds this when you have set the Default Customer Location to Geolocate (with Page Caching Support) in WP Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > General Settings.

To remove this string please set the Default Customer Location option to Geolocate. You can also refer to the following article for more info: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-remove-vxxxx-string-from-wordpress-urls/

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.

You’re a lifesaver thank you, it worked! Looking forward to working with rankmath as my store progresses 🙂
