Analytics Code doesn’t work

#691746
  • Hi,

I can’t seem to add the Google Analytics 4 on my website. I don’t have any external plugin to add the code, only Rank Math and I checked the “Install Analytics Code” option several days ago, but I still get nothing. I tested with Google Tag Assistant and they told me “There are currently no debuggable Google tags at that address.” Did I miss something? Could you help out? Thanks.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with adding Google Analytics 4 to your website using Rank Math. It seems like you’ve followed the correct steps to install the Analytics code, but it’s not reflecting on your website.

To troubleshoot this issue, we recommend checking if you’ve connected Rank Math with Google Analytics 4 correctly. Also, ensure that you’ve updated to the latest version of Rank Math to access the feature to create and connect with GA4 properties.

If you’re still facing issues after verifying these steps, please feel free to reach out to our support team by clicking here. Our team is available 24×7 and will assist you in the best possible way.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to resolve this issue for you.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.

For a newly created property, it will take a few hours to collect and display the initial data in Google Analytics. Rank Math will import that data from Google Analytics and make it available on your Analytics dashboard on the next scheduled data import. If your Analytics setting disappears after you save your changes, consider switching to Google Chrome or another Chromium-based browser.

You can follow this guide here to connect with a new GA4 property: https://rankmath.com/kb/using-ga4/

Hope that helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Thank you.

    Hi, thanks for your answer.

It’s been several days since I set up RankMath and although I get a green dot next to “Analytics” on the RankMath’s plugin, there’s still no data coming.

Regarding the Analytics setting it seems to be still on.

I followed the guide to no avail. The Google Tag assistant still tells me there’s no connection.

    Hello,

For us to check this, we need to take a closer look at the settings of the website. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We can see that data is now loading on the Analytics dashboard (see image 1 in the Sensitive data section).

It was not detected by Google Tag Manager because you enabled the Exclude Logged-in users toggle (It hides the code for and doesn’t track logged-in users), and were logged in when checking for the code (See image 2 in the Sensitive data section).

We can see that Google Tag Manager now sees the code after disabling that toggle (see image 3 in the Sensitive data section).

Kindly check your site and confirm this fix.

    Thanks.

Thank you, it worked. The main problem seems to be the browser I’m using. When trying with Chrome, Google showed me the connection.

    Hello,

We are super happy that this resolved your issue. If you have any other questions in the future, know that we are here to help you.

If you don’t mind me asking, could you please leave us a review (if you haven’t already) on https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/seo-by-rank-math/reviews/#new-post about your overall experience with Rank Math? We appreciate your time and patience.

If you do have another question in the future, please feel free to create a new forum topic, and it will be our pleasure to assist you again.

    Thank you.
