    Rank Math free

    Good Morning,

I installed Rank Math last week, I was using Yoast. It went smooth for the most part. About 1/3 of the posts are scoring in the 20-30s and should not be. I have tried copy and pasting the keyword to ensure the spelling isn’t the issue. I also deleted the keywords on the affected pages and waited 24 hours before reinserting them, score did not change. I have cleared everything under Rank Math > Status & Tools. When I run the page in the SEO Analyzer the score is normal. For example, this URL https://outofoffice.blog/things-to-do-in-santa-barbara-california/ shows a score of 33 on my dashboard. The same URL score is 90 in the SEO Analyzer.

I went back today and followed instructions from: Analytics Data Not Showing? READ HERE! Overall optimization is 0, but search traffic and keywords show up. Below is the code.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

So glad you got back to me, I noticed I am also having issues with social sharing now, every post pulls information from a Salem article that isn’t even new, so weird. And very much a problem for my Pinterest pins!

I want to use the plugin, it is asking for email, and first/last name. What do I enter?

Got it — here’s the link [moved to sensitive data section]

And thank you again. I was about to go back to yoast after the problem with the pins and was super bummed about it.

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow up.

It’s worth noting that the analysis done by the SEO analyzer is not the same as the on-page content analysis which used the supplied keyword to perform the outlined tests on your content.

That said, I added the keyword again for your shared post, this time including the town names in capital and the score seems to now work giving the post a score of 77, please check.

As for the issues with social sharing and rich pins, you seem to have Social Warfare plugin installed on your site. This plugin can conflict with Rank math as it adds opengraph tags to your pages while Rank math is also adding this. You may have to deactivate this plugin to resolve the issue.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

OK. I like Rank Math more than Social Warfare, I will switch. What plugin works well with Rank Math?

Sorry to bother you again. I deactivated Social Warefare and the issue remains. The only thing I have published while using Rank Math is a guide page. Since you still have access to my account, please create a new post or page and scroll down to the description and keyword, you will see the new post is prefilled with Salem information. Even after I edit and save the edit, it reverts to the Salem information when published. I can’t show you with Facebook or Twitter because I deactivated social warfare but please note the pin images are configured with Portugal information. Go to https://outofoffice.blog/complete-travel-guide-to-portugal/ and pin one of the images, you will see the description is of salem.

Is this something that can be fixed?

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow up.

Rank math does add social sharing meta to your site, you may not need another extra plugin to add social meta.

I have been troubleshooting your site. I tried using the healthcheck plugin but it doesn’t seem to work on your site.

I was however able to root the issue down to your theme. When your theme is active, the Salem keyword and title are added automatically even to a new post without content.

Would you please let us know if there are customizations you have done to your theme?

Would you also share some FTP access so we can look into the files and try to troubleshoot this issue further?

    Looking forward to helping you.

I have not done any customizations to the theme. This is actually an old theme. I wanted to update the look and switched themes. The new theme had a bunch of issues so I switched back to the current theme the same week I switched to rank math. (This is why making multiple changes at the same time is a bad idea lol)

Trust you and appreciate that you are troubleshooting, happy to give you access but do not know how?

    Hello,

You can generate an FTP login for your website’s root directory and add them to the designated Sensitive Data section. You can get in touch with your web host for further assistance.

If possible, you can also share your cPanel login credentials. Our Sensitive Data section is completely secure, and only our support staff has access to that section.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Thanks for getting back to us.

Upon inspecting the issue on your website I was able to replicate the issue and like my colleague mentioned, the root cause of the issue is your theme.

I would ask that you please to check with the theme developer if they found similar issues and possibly found a fix for that. We also noted this like we always do when we find a conflict and will investigate this on our end as well.

    Hope this clarifies your doubts.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you require any further assistance.

That’s too bad, I was hoping you were able to fix it or I would not have bothered with all the back and forth. I deactivated and returned to yoast as it is not an issue with the yoast plugin. Please let me know if your developers ever find a solution as I did like Rank Math.

    Have a great day

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

I installed your theme on my local installation and was not able to reproduce the error. So, this excludes what we previously thought to be a theme issue.

Our dev team is taking a look at this one and we’ll report back with our findings when we can exactly pinpoint what is causing this.

I also shared a screencast of my test run with the theme in the sensitive data section.

We appreciate your patience with this subject.

If there’s anything else we can do assist you, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

    Hello,

It looks like the temp admin link you added in the Sensitive Data Section is expired. Can you please regenerate it?

    Looking forward to helping you.

I have given up and went back to yoast
