Any ideas why Rank Math is telling me I don’t have alt text for the below images? It definitely does have alt text and originally it complained about 4 of the same image but now just two, could it be something to do with lazy load or Divi? I did have some others showing the same error but once I added alt text they disappeared. This is the only one left that won’t go away, I have cleared my cache and restarted my PC but still showing.

  • Hi Holly,

Thanks for getting in touch with us

Please note that just because you have alt in media doesn’t mean it is showing up on the actual website. Without going into more detail, I would recommend checking the page source of your homepage and check the page source.

Look for the filename and check if there is really an alt text attached to it. If not, please check with your theme provider. If you see that particular image already has alt, please share the URL so we can check in more detail.

If you notice in the code you shared, you will see that the alt text field is blank. So, Rank Math is reporting the issue correctly.

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow up. You home page actually does have some images without the alt tag. I tested your site with the SEO analyzer, similar to the SEO analysis tool and I was able to find two images. Here is a screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/B1ib30, please check and let us know.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Hi Michael, please refer to my previous message and the code below it, as I stated there is definitely an alt tag already there for that image, you can clearly see it starting at the end of line 5 wrapped in tags. Rank Math SEO analyzer is not picking up on it which is the reason I got in touch in the first place.
