  • Hello,

The results show multiple ALT tags because there are multiple implementations of the same image on the page.

    Here’s one example:
    Images

As you can see the same image URL is referenced twice, so the ALT is shown twice as well.

This is not an issue with our plugin as we are not responsible for adding imagery to the pages, that is controlled either by your theme or the page design you are currently using.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

How to recognize double images in source code?

    Hello,

There is no way to do that other than looking at the source code and looking for the duplicates.

That is not something that our plugin can assist with.

    Thank you.

In fact, I was asking how to recognize the duplicate code of the image on my own, then I’ll do the job and report the conflicts to the plugin/theme that causes it.

    Hello,

As we mentioned, the only way to recognize this is by checking the source code and seeing the duplicate code from the images as we shared previously.

We are not aware of any tool that can do this automatically but you might be able to find one on your own.

    Thank you.

Could you copy the duplicate text here? Then I will take it as an example to work on.

    Hello,

We already shared one example of these duplications that we found here: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/alt-and-anchor-with-name-double-on-ahrefs/page/2/?view=all#post-719699

If you check the screenshot you’ll see that the image tag is repeated twice and that was done by just scouring the page’s source code.

There’s no other easy way of finding other duplicates on other pages.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

There was actually a simple way: the URL is a staging site, but I don’t understand why it appears on the live site.

    Hello,

That is not something that we can assist with because that HTML is not controlled by our plugin. You need to check how the template pages of the staging website are built and if they are copied over directly from the live website it could explain this situation.

In any case, this is beyond the scope of our support so you would need to do your own research on the matter.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

    Thank you.
