Links for all my pages say zero for all types (internal, external, incoming). But I know for a fact this is not true. Is RankMath not able to calculate links because my content is wrapped in Elementor Pro?

  • Hi Tom,

Thank you for getting in touch.

We will take a closer look at this. When we last checked, they were working fine. It is possible that Elementor might have changed something that made the tests not work anymore.

Could you please try with regular posts? Or, please share a temporary login link to your website so we can take a look: https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

We look forward to helping you.

    Added the link.

I should note, this issue existed yesterday before the Elementor update which released today. I’ve installed the update and it still persists.

    Hello,

How are you adding links on your site? Are you adding links dynamically from JavaScript? I don’t see any internal links in elementor editor in /in-the-media/ page. Even in the post_content field in the posts table, there were no internal links. On helpful-information/federal-court-proceedings/federal-arrest/ page the internal link test is working fine, it shows the internal links used in the content.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

The media page has links on it, but as described in the sensitive information, these do not show up in Elementor when you edit. I have to keep a text document with the code in it and re-paste then save any time I need to make an edit. It’s something to do with the links containing a font awesome string. They are in this format:

    <a href="linkhere.com" target="_blank"><i class="fa fa-external-link" aria-hidden="true"></i></a><br />

Not sure why it does that, but it does.

So I re-pasted the code from my text document, published, and the links showed up. Just another byproduct of coding the links like that.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello,

Did you change anything on media page? Now it shows external links.

    They are in this format:

    <i class=”fa fa-external-link” aria-hidden=”true”></i><br />

Not sure why it does that, but it does.

This format is fine, it should not cause any problem. I checked it on my setup and I also created a new page on your site Test Outbound Link (it’s in draft mode ) and I added a link in the format which you are using in the Media page, there too content analysis recognizes the external links.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.
