Adding "sponsored" links using RankMath - Support

Hi I hope all is well

I am trying to add rel “sponsored” to the links of the banner advertisements on my website, I have attempted to do this with the Elementor page builder however the HTML widget does not allow me to add tags.

Is there anyway I can use RankMath the add rel “sponsored” to the banners HTML?

If not could you please advise how I can add it directly into the HTML? I am not sure how to do this since the link already contains the iframe attribute.

Here is an example of one of the banner HTML codes –

The iFrame element can’t have the sponsored property, as you can see in the official iFrame documentation: https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/iframe-embed-object.html#the-iframe-element

So there is no way for me to add the sponsored property?

And can this negatively impact SEO or would the link in the banner not influence the SEO of the site?

Hello,

With the iFrame Google already detects the content is from another source so it won’t affect your SEO in that way. But in any case, the only place where you can set the sponsored tag is on the a href tags.
