    Please be careful with this option. Although this option will help increase CTR on Facebook, it might get you penalised if over-used.

    What exactly do you mean by penalty? What is the penalty? Who gives the penalty, Facebook or Google?

    Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    That would be Facebook. They might penalize you and not allow posting from your website for misleading images. Imagine adding a video icon to normal images. Users would think they are going to see a video and that would increase CTR. But do it too often and you might get penalized.
