Add an image with your Focus Keyword as alt text error.

    Hi

    I am brand new to Rank Math and generally everything is going well. I am however stuck on one issue which is the error I am receiving relating to “Add an image with your Focus Keyword as alt text.”

    I have images on my page and a logo in the header and I have added the exact focus keyword to the alt text. I have checked in the code afterwards and the correct tag and alt text are present showing the focus keyword. It seems though that no matter what I do Rank Math isn’t recognising this and continues to report the error.

    I am using a page builder, Elementor Pro, and the company logo is in the header which is part of the Astra Pro theme. All plugins, theme and wordpress are up to date.

    What would be the reason that Rank Math is not recognising the alt text in the images please?

    Hello,

    Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    We only check for the images and their respective alt text in the content area of your page only. We do not check the header, footer or the sidebar sections.

    Please add the images with the focus keyword as the alt in the content section so Rank Math can “see” it.

    Hi Todd

    Thanks. As mentioned I have images on the page AND in the header.

    So whilst it won’t see the one in the header it’s still not seeing the main images on the page.

    My understanding is that Rank Math is compatible with Elementor so I’m not sure why this would be?

    Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
