This is normal and a core feature of WordPress. You should not use the <!--more--> link if you don’t want that appended to the URLs.
However, Rank Math adds canonical tags so there is no negative effect as far as SEO is concerned.

It sounds like you have added your button as a link and therefore when you click it loads the read more section id to the permalink. This is not an issue to be worried about unless it adds this to the canonical URL too. You can check this by checking your page source: https://i.rankmath.com/gKkzGl. Let us know if this helps.
