    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math for help with your 410 redirects.

You do not need to include a domain with 410 redirects. They should work on their own.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.

How do I deal with the 404 errors that Rankmath gives me? All the links I put them 410 apart from those from 301? Or is it a useless and risky job not to make distinctions? I have a feeling that the 404 Monitor is more for an experienced user.

I noticed that Search Console is also reporting 404 errors in a hidden option. I believe it’s better I follow these links.

    Hello,

Thank you for your patience as we address your concerns

How do I deal with the 404 errors that Rank Math gives me?

If you had set the pages to 410 they should show 410 errors on your server and in your WordPress backend. Please may you share some of the URLs that have a 410 set but are showing 404 instead. You can add them to the sensitive data area in the first post of this thread to keep them private.

Or is it a useless and risky job not to make distinctions?

It is safe to set all deleted URLs to 404. Google does not differentiate between 404s and 410s as stated in the following article: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-404-status/254429/

I noticed that Search Console is also reporting 404 errors in a hidden option.

As stated earlier, Google does not differentiate between 404 and 410 errors.

I don’t think we understand each other. The 404 tool marks me a lot of links that even Search Console doesn’t.

What do I do if I don’t recognize the URL? Code 410? I think it’s not a good idea, because I might need those urls again if I put the previously deleted plugins.

    Hello,

The 404 monitor reports the URLs that don’t exist and users or bots try to visit. The GSC reports only the URLs that they try to visit and doesn’t exist. That’s why there is a difference in both reports.

You don’t have to redirect the URLs in the 404 monitor to 410s. You should only redirect the URLs to a related page if there is one.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
