404 Redirects

I have been getting about a 100 404 errors daily. Sometimes a little less and sometimes more. I recently revamped my website and I know that’s the reason for a good part of my 404’s. So, I have been putting 301 directs on several posts/pages to straighten them out. However, even after I put a 301 on a post that had a 404, it’s showing up again under the 404s, if it gets clicked on again? Shouldn’t it no longer show up as a 404 if there is a 301 set?

On the “404 Monitor” page. If I click the “View Redirection” link under a link that I had already set a 301 for, it takes me to the “Redirections” page. But it just shows the master list of redirections I have already made. It is not showing me the specific redirection?

    Thanks,
    Drew Conroy

    Hi Drew,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

The 404 will continue to show up in the 404 Monitor since it is technically still a 404.

We have noted this down for improvement and we will see what we can do about that.

    Thank you.

    Hi Todd:

Thanks for the reply but what about my second question?

On the “404 Monitor” page. If I click the “View Redirection” link under a link that I had already set a 301 for, it takes me to the “Redirections” page. But it just shows the master list of redirections I have already made. It is not showing me the specific redirection?

    Thanks,
